Engine
This SL320 is equipped with a V6 engine, replacing the older straight six that had powered earlier SL320's. Cleaner, more powerful and quieter than the old engine, Mercedes used lightweight materials including aluminium and magnesium for components including the crankshaft and intake manifold, the V6 is also 20kg lighter than the older engine. This later engine is equipped with a twin spark ignition system.
Gearbox
The five speed gearbox is an "intelligent" unit built by Mercedes Benz (as with all MB cars) which can learn your driving style, this gearbox is considered far superior to the 4 speed auto 'boxes found on earlier R129's .
Interior
Black Nappa leather to the electrically operated and heated seats with black carpets, coupled with the panoramic glass hard top, makes for a light and airy driving experience.
Exterior
The Brilliant Silver exterior really suits the SL combined with factory standard alloy wheels, this really is a fine example of the Mercedes Benz R129 series SL. The hydraulically operated black fabric roof is in fantastic condition.
